FAQ
Common questions
Everything you need to know about Microship — for sellers and hosts alike.
General
What is Microship?
Microship is a distributed micro-fulfillment network. We place your inventory across a network of vetted local hosts, so when a customer orders, it ships from the location closest to them — faster delivery, lower shipping costs, no massive warehouse contracts.
Where does Microship operate?
We're currently launching in Dallas, TX with a small network of approved hosts. Our goal is to expand city by city — Dallas is first. If you're outside Dallas, apply now and we'll notify you when we reach your area.
How long does the approval process take?
Most applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours. We may reach out for additional information, especially for host applications where we like to verify the space.
For Sellers
How do I sign up as a seller?
Fill out our seller application with details about your business, product types, and estimated monthly volume. Once approved, we'll walk you through distributing your inventory across our host network.
Is there a cost to join?
Applying is always free. Pricing is based on storage space used and per-order fulfillment fees — we'll share a full rate sheet during your onboarding. No long-term contracts required.
What happens after I get matched with hosts?
You'll ship a portion of your inventory to each assigned host location. When orders come in through your store, they route to the nearest host with your stock. Your dashboard shows inventory levels at each location in real time.
What types of products can be fulfilled?
Most standard e-commerce products work well — clothing, accessories, electronics, home goods, handmade items. We currently do not support hazmat, perishables, or oversized freight. Contact us if you have a special case.
For Hosts
What are the requirements to become a host?
You need dedicated, dry storage space (even a clean garage works), the ability to receive packages, pack orders, and drop them at a carrier. We provide all supplies, labels, and training. Reliability matters most.
How do hosts get paid?
Hosts earn a monthly storage fee based on square footage used, plus a per-order fulfillment payout. We'll share the full rate structure during your onboarding call after approval.
Can I be both a seller and a host?
Currently each account is registered as either a seller or host. If you need both, contact us directly and we'll work something out.
